Whose fault is it any way?

Why is it that we as a country are so obsessed with who is at fault? The media always seems driven to force people to blame someone for unexplained acts of terror. Based on the media someone has to be at fault and must be blamed. Why must so much time be spent focusing on who to blame while people are suffering?

On a much lighter note, I have had the privilege to participate in a Wednesday night men’s ministry called Men’s Fraternity, what an awesome experience it has been. I have never seen men open up like they are, as we look back at our relationship with our fathers and mothers and examine how we became the person we are today. I highly recommend this program to all men; I believe that it should be taught to men before they marry. All of the men that I have talked to agree that we wish we had gone through the class years ago.

Now my motivational moment for the day, I am always amazed at how many people are satisfied with average. Most people and please understand I am not pointing fingers, will only put forth the effort required to be average. That goes for almost every area of our life, family, work and worst of all or relationship with God. I am convinced that if we were just not satisfied with being average and put forth extra effort in those areas over time we would see that we were better than average. I don’t know about you but I want to be known as a better than average Christian, father and manager at work. I do want to encourage those that read this blog that yes this can be achieved with minimal effort and desire, just raise your level of expectation and stop being satisfied with AVERAGE! You will be surprised where it will take you.

  2. i have this quote bookmarked that i keep coming back to several times a day…it’s a parallel to your blog – which by the way is great!

    here it is…
“The difference between where you are and where God wants you to be may be the painful decision you refuse to make.”

  3. Spoken like a true Men’s Fraternity Leader!

Welcome to the blogosphere! May we be challenged and inspired by your words.
