20 years and the land of oblivion

Well I just spent one the best weeks of my life so far on a cruise with my wife, we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. The cruise was great but the time that I was able to spend with my wife alone with no agenda or no where to be was awesome. We have had a wonderful 20 years and we look forward to many more years together, it just keeps getting better and better!!!

Now for the land of the oblivion, that is what I call the area that many people live in, you know that area where they are the only people around, or …..

  • the only people in a room or…..
  • the only people driving down the road or …..
  • the only person walking down a hallway or….

I could go on and on but I think you get my point, we all at some point fall into this time warp but for me it’s not that often, you see I have been blessed (cursed) with the ability to always know what is going on around me and not only what I should be paying attention to but a much larger scoop that includes….

  •  how other people are reacting
  • talking
  • working
  • dressed

This also applies to so many other areas but really that is not my point, here is my point. I want to live in the land of oblivion. I believe that there is less stress there, you see the way I see it is if you are oblivious to how or what is going on around you well then…it is much less likely to stress you or capture your thoughts.

I would just like to be like a kid and run down a hall with no care about who or what I might run into because I am oblivious. I would like to walk around and not notice people or for that matter care or even notice that something I did or did not do might upset someone. We all know someone like this who just gets in there own world and never notices what somebody said or did and then because you did notice you then have to spend who knows how long explaining to them what they missed!?!?!? (I know that kinda sounds like gossip but to the person in the real world it’s just life, if the oblivious person had been paying attention, then you would not have had to explain it to them!?!?!)

Again my point is if I could spend more time in the land of oblivion then I wouldn’t have notice either and we both could just move on with life!?!?! Am I making sense yet? Well somebody tell me what they think, am I crazy or does this land really exist and if it does is it actually a fun place to live!!?!??!
