Life lesson from selling?!?!
When selling it is important to find out as much about your customer as possible so that you can uncover possible desires and needs, we call this the build. During the build we ask a lot of questions, questions about where they work, what are your hobbies and the list goes on and on. The point is we want to get to know our customers, so that we can offer them a complete solution to their need.
One of my favorite quotes is, they don’t care what you know, until they know that you care. This so true when ministering to someone, we often want to offer our solutions without listening to the person and when we do this we fail to build relationship.
We often make ministering an event instead of a process, by doing this we miss out on opportunities to build relationship. So in life, just as selling we must “build” relationship, so that we will be able to offer people the complete solution….JESUS!
your post contains two of the three main “God-words” in my faith walk…process and relationship…the final word is risk and the other two are both risky, but necessary – great post!
