here’s my take on it:
1.) we were out-coached – on all fronts! until the second half.
2.) injuries all over the place – you simply can’t plan for that.
3.) recruiting – we have to do more to balance recruiting on o-line and d-line through the years. stafford’s good only if protected. moreno’s good only if gaps are opened.
4.)i think florida and auburn are beatable by us – lsu is the toughest on the ticket
5.) if we win the remainder, we have an outside shot at nat’l championship game. that’s a big if though.
6.) i think our 1st half inhaled profusely (you can translate that as you like) – i think our second half showed our intensity and passion – we gotta play 60 like that and not just 30.
7.)although not there in person, our fan base is awesome – doesn’t look like a lot of people left – although i know some that did after the 1st half. our crowd hung in there and backed the dawgs and helped fire the team up
8.) we gotta heal and it’s good we’re off this week, because it’s not going to get any easier in terms of the physical game.

i think #11 is probably right, i think usc SHOULD NOT be ahead of us since they were beaten by an UNRANKED team and we were beaten by a #10 ranked team – but that’s for another day…
